Running Time: 60 minutes

The Visceral Company presents the L.A. premiere of NY Drama Desk nominated SOUTHERN GOTHIC NOVEL The Visceral Company is thrilled to present the Los Angeles premiere of SOUTHERN GOTHIC NOVEL: The Aberdeen Mississippi Sex-Slave Incident, a hilarious recounting of a series of awful events that beset a small southern town. Conceived, written and performed by New York stage veteran Frank Blocker (Stabilized Not Controlled; Suite Atlanta; Eula Mae’s Beauty, Bait & Tackle), SOUTHERN GOTHIC NOVEL earned a New York Drama Desk nomination for best solo show. In SOUTHERN GOTHIC NOVEL, Blocker plays 17 different characters from the small town of Aberdeen, Mississippi – all within the space of an hour – delivering dialogue in rapid fire and myriad regional accents. He also uses skilled pantomime to create every conceivable piece of scenery and action, even a knock-drag-out fight between four characters and a hostage.
