Shakespeare’s tale of ambition and power gone corrupt is reimagined with medieval Scotland as a modern military state. LOFT's production poses Thanes as generals, witches hiding in plain sight as officers and servants, and political upheaval at a time of regime change. Much like modern-day Syria or North Korea, Scotland is ruled by a man at the center of it all that would destroy everything to appease his own ambition.
