Ovation Awards Informational Session

It is very important to the Ovation Rules Committee that the Ovation Awards continue to evolve in tandem with the community and that we continue to be in active dialogue with artists and producers about the Awards. As part of this effort, we are instituting regular Ovation Awards Information Sessions, where Ovation voters, artists, producers, or members of the general public can meet members of the Committee, learn about how the Ovation Awards function, give feedback, ask questions and discuss new rules.
We encourage any member of the community to attend, and in particular encourage new producers who are registering productions for Ovations consideration to participate.
On February 11, in addition to a basic overview of the Award rules and process, the Committee will also be discussing new rules relating to:
- Whether Ovation Voters can vote on productions they are affiliated with as a company member, board member, staff member, or in other ways
- Significant changes to how productions become eligible for Ovation consideration
- Recognition of presented, re-worked, re-mounted, and otherwise developed productions relative to completely original production
Additional Ovation Informational Sessions will be held in April and September.
